CMBA Process Overview

Achieving your CMBA is a straightforward process that begins online here at CertifiedMBA.com and continues offline at Prometric testing centers.

Application
First, complete a five-step online application by clicking on "Apply for CMBA Exam." We'll ask you to create a username and password and provide personal details that will form your CMBA profile. You will also be asked to pay a $75 application and transcript processing fee using a major credit card.

Transcripts
Providing an official transcript verifies your current enrollment in a MBA program or that you have already earned your MBA degree.

Your transcript is required before you can be scheduled to take the exam. The final transcript showing that you received the degree is necessary for award of the CMBA designation.

For your convenience, a pre-prepared transcript request letter with the appropriate submission address is available for printing in the "My CMBA Account" section of this web site. You will also be prompted to print the form after you have completed your application.

Sitting for the Exam
After your application is submitted online, it will be reviewed. When it is accepted, you will receive both an email and hard copy letter notifying you of your acceptance and providing instructions on how to register for a date to sit for the CMBA exam through Prometric. At the time of acceptance, your credit card will be charged the exam fee of $255.00.

You will take the exam on a computer at your choice of one of the 380 Prometric testing centers in the U.S. and Canada that offer the CMBA exam. The exam takes approximately six hours to complete and you are permitted to bring a Hewlett Packard 12c, 10b, 10bii or a Texas Instruments BA II Plus. Scrap paper will be provided to you by the Prometric staff.

Status
At any time during the process, you may check on your status in the "My CMBA Account" section of this web site. You'll be able to tell at a glance if your application, transcript, or exam scores are pending, and to get the information you need to move the process toward your Certified MBA.

Fact: More than 112,000 students in the United States received MBA degrees in 1999-2000. The CMBA is the first tool to compare MBA graduates on the same scale.
